The West Sussex Antique Timber Company produce solid oak floors, joinery and oak buildings; products of timeless beauty delivered by skilled craftsmen using traditional methods handed down over generations. Bespoke doors, windows, staircases, tables, built in wardrobes and bookcases, lanterns, orangeries, conservatories, solid oak floors and oak framed buildings and barns.. with traditional, contemporary or aged finishes dependent on your requirement.
Our solid oak floors are compatible with modern underfloor heating and are fitted by our expert joiners. We offer oak plank flooring as well as parquetry which includes Parquet, Basketweave, Versailles and Herringbone patterns.
Timber Flooring
Our oak flooring is kiln dried, tongue and grooved French Oak of the highest quality. Random or fixed widths boards are hand-planed and can be stained to almost any colour and finish with antique oils and sealants. The new timber can be distressed to evoke the appearance of an authentic floor in a period setting, seamlessly blending in with the surroundings. In addition, we supply elegant Parquet wood floors, Versailles and Basketweave panels.
Joinery
Our accomplished team of craftsmen bring their own specialised skills to each project. Expertise and time are invested in every undertaking and we are proud of our outstanding customer service.
We create handsome interior and exterior doors, from cottage style ledge and brace oak doors to panelled Edwardian front doors.
Windows can be made to suit any surround, whether it be graceful sashes or rustic casements. Staircases can also be made to any new or replacement bespoke specifications, using timeless methods with hand turned spindles, newell posts and handrails. An extensive range of ironmongery is available to complete each project.
Oak Framed Buildings
We offer a complete building service from planning and complete restoration or
new builds. We utilise premium quality materials, such as 300 year old oak beams and hand made clay peg tiles, in order to give our clients a faultless end product.
We supply beautiful antique reclaimed oak beams, kiln dried or green oak beams. We also supply oak beam casings which can be used to disguise unsightly structures, for example steel joists. A range of textures and finishes can be achieved in order to harmonise the beams with their new architectural environment.
